More editing of Music Video

 In the two shots I sped up the video to show the effect of a time lapse for example in the shots of the walk to school. To speed up the shot I held down Ctrl and dragged the shot clip backwards to keep the whole shot but speed it up.

In this above shot I did the same sort of thing but slowed down the shot because the clip was not long enough for a certain part of the song, I again held down Ctrl and instead dragged the clip forwards to where the clip fits the video. 

Editing of Music Video

 The start of the song consists of eight half second shots of the sings being held up to establish the song and the bands name, I have done this because I wanted as many different shots in the space of each drum beat for the song. I believe this is effective since it goes with the beat, I have also used a fade to black at the end of the last clip because it is also when the drum beat stops.

All three of these shots show the band messing about and holding the signs showing the song and the name of the band, I like these shots because it shows the relationship between the band is good.

The band practicing, I also like these shots because the smiles on their faces indicate the enjoyment of creating music, in some of the shots they are messing about also whilst playing which shows the experimentation in the songs. 

Black and white effect tool used on clip in video to establish the difference in shots, I kept the black and white as the default because I didn't want the shots to be too light or too dark. 

Zoom used in shot to show close up of the guitar whilst it is being played by the singer of the band. 

I have used a black and white effect on shots which show the band because I want to establish the difference between the band shots and normal shots of the memories occurring in the video. 

Cross fade of two shots because of the movement of each shot, i.e; in the first shot the  shot used is a tilt upwards, and the next shot is also this so I used a cross fade to show the similar style in the shots. 

Because the shots of the party scenes were quite dark, I used Colour Curves to change the light in the image, I made the shots lighter and then saved the specific curve in the light that I edited so that I could apply this to all of the dark shots. 

Idea for music video

Because I want the band to be shown in the video I have decided to base the style upon the video above, since I do not want a performance where they're singing to the camera's i'd much prefer a video of the band practicing and messing about live. This will also include backstage style video's of the band getting ready for their live performance. This style is also shown in Blink 182's not now.
