Costume - For most of the scenes the dress/costume is casual because the style of the video is a memory/home video style music video so I want the characters to look comfortable in what they're wearing. For the scene where I have organised a paint fight scene, and I have decided that if people don't mind wearing clothes that will get dirty then they can because I want it to look as natural as possible but if not they can wear white clothes. Also the use of fancy dress e.g. native American and cowboys may be an idea so it can show the characters are having fun whilst having the paint fight.

Other costume may include alternate rock looks, such as for the band. Females often wear denim shorts, band tshirts, beanie hats and converse, whereas males wear skinny jeans, and tshirts and military boots. The alternative rock look is very fashionable right now and is often found in high street shops so is easily accessible, and this will create the look that I want the band to have.
Lighting - During the scene where people hold the signs to introduce the song the video, the lighting is supposed to be natural but appears to mostly low key lighting so I have decided to re-film the signs again. During the party scene the lighting is either low key or artificial lighting because it represents the party lifestyle at night where you can do want you want because of the cover of night, it also works with the lyrics "and every Friday at just about midnight". Natural lighting during landscape/scenery/barbecue shots because of sunset and the natural lighting of the sunshine during the day. I decided to do this because the colours of the natural light highlight key areas in the shots.

Actors - Actors include Jade Clarke, Rebecca Clarke, Josh Whyman, Joe Shearwood, Andy Bell, Ebony Daley, Leonie Daley, Natalie Chardoux, Jess Hordon, Abbi Hordon, Emma Hordon, Kiah Stenhouse, Shane O'malley, Gemma Green, Danny Martin, William Rigg, etc (Still more to add).
The reason I have so many people in my video is because the video is based upon memories and home video's so I want to include as many people in the video as possible. All the people in my video are enjoying themselves so facial expressions are relaxed or happy, gestures include talking, laughing and dancing.
Makeup - If I do decide to use makeup it will be during the paint fight scene, which will go along side the fancy dress (native American). This will be on both Male and Female. The reason I am using this is to emphasise the characters they are whilst wearing fancy dress. I'll also allow makeup for the party scene because the girls want to make themselves look good whilst enjoying themselves.

Setting - I am using various setting such as landscape settings, party scenes, at a barbecue etc. All of the settings have connection with myself so that is why I have included them in my video. Because the video is a home video style music piece I want to make it as personal as possible so the audience of the music video are convinced that the scenes relate to me.

Good start.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget props. Be specific about all of the clothes/settings etc. you're going to use, and consider their connotations too.
If you've seen similar things in other videos, mention them too and explain what you like about them.
Solid level 3 here, but i'd add a little more.
Make sure you get a prezi & audio file on the blog at some point too, for your multi-media marks.
